What Kind of Redhead Should You Be?

You Should be a Ginger Redhead
Natural, fresh, and deep - you can definitely pull of this saturated color.

Regigigas

Woohoo! Got my Regigigas (not a typo, by the way) from Toys 'R Us!

Also, two boxes of 24 crayons. Crayola is on sale--it's the 100th anniversary of the 64 box.

This is Regigigas:

I wouldn't call it cute, but it's a level 100 legendary pokemon with some powerful attacks.  With any luck, it'll help me get past the final fight with Team Galactic.

So yeah, life only gets worse. And that crap about "darkest before the dawn"? It really is crap. Scientifically and as a metaphor.

I'm thinking I should post a drabble, just for kicks ...

Hmmm ...

Vampires, maybe?

As a self-comforting bit. There are too many Twilight wannabes out there for me to take vampires seriously at the moment.

So let's see.

This will do, I guess. )

Writer's Block: Top Dog

What kind of dog (counting mixes and mutts) gets your vote as the champion of dogs?

The English Springer Spaniel!  Only the hunting ones, though.  The show lines, as well as being rather semi-hideous, may lack the trademark happy and loving attitude of the springer.

Our old springer died in January after a few months of mysterious, probably painful symptoms.  The one we had before that choked on a ball when I was five.

We got a puppy (springer, of course) about a month later.  Today (well, yesterday now) is his birthday.  He's now a year old--I guess he's not really a puppy anymore.  And he's an odd dog--but I still love him like my child.

Yeah...I love dogs.  And springers are beautiful, functional, and absolutely tops when it comes to personality.  My puppy is my baby.

NaNo: Day 1

Well, I got my 1667+ words in today. About 1839, to be exact.

Once again, Puppy Problems )

So yeah, I didn't have the optimum first NaNo day. But I still managed to get my daily quota. I was hoping for at least three thousand plus today, but I'm not done for the night, so maybe I'll still make it.

I'm as sick as a dog today.  Thursday was okay, Friday was bad, Saturday was worse, but today the cold combined with staying up last night until 3:00 AM reading scanlated doujinshi really got to me.  I don't have yesterday's headache from hell, but I do have a new cough!  Isn't it wonderful?

I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing for NaNoWriMo now.  I was going to do vampires in high school with a focus on the unhealthily abusive relationship between the two secondary characters from the point of view of the main character, but while I still want to do abusive relationship, I may cut out the vampires altogether.  Or maybe not ... I won't really know 'til I start writing, will I?

I'm hoping Georgia will do it with me.  She seems excited about it.  Secilia's probably going to back out, though--she just keeps trying to tell me she sucks at writing, which is bologna.  (Are you reading this, Seilia?)  The only thing that a person might be "incapable" of doing is handling grammar, punctuation, spelling, or capitalization, and since she had the same awesomely good eighth grade English teacher I did, I know she's good with that.  All anyone needs after that is constant practice.  Someone, somewhere, is going to like what you write.  Even if they don't, you shouldn't be doing it for other people anyway.  You should be doing it for yourself, which I think is a major problem for a lot of people.

I won't lie, I have it too, but I'm trying to fix it.  It's working ... slowly.
